Winning Awards…Again!
The “Best of ASMP 2024” results were recently released, and for the fourth time, our work was selected as a “Judges Choice" from a pool of professionally produced images. Our submission was a five-image series of a Boeing 747 that had just arrived from Alaska at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport of a cool fall afternoon. Created for the cargo carrier Cargolux, it was the second set of images created for the client out of Luxembourg. To say that a 747 approaching head-on is intimidating would be an understatement (even at a slow pace!) , but we were able to “get the shot” while standing on a set of air stairs.
Cargolux pilot wings.
The pilot was kind enough to stand for a quick portrait next to the nose wheel of the aircraft. Even though he was about 6 foot 4 inches tall, he is dwarfed by the size of the aircraft’s landing gear.
We were able to successfully illuminate the company logo on the tail of the aircraft with a portable strobe, and as I mentioned to my assistant, “every company likes to see their logo in pictures.”
