Refining Vision…
In the fall of 2023, my wife and I had the pleasure of attending a photo workshop on the Isle of Skye in Scotland with my friend and fellow photographer Mark Maio. To say we had "a good time" would be an understatement. Just getting to Skye is an adventure unto itself, as it is geographically isolated from the rest of Scotland.
Technically a part of the Inner Hebrides islands, it is a wild landscape in that between frequent bouts of rain, sun, dark night skies, and fierce winds, there is no shortage of spectacular landscape images to be had. Visually, it is probably one of the most stunning locations to be visited on the planet.
Mark's intimate knowledge of the island, it's culture, and the interaction with the other workshop participants made for a wonderful week of laughter, good food, great stories, and of course the photographic experience that Skye has to offer. If you've a desire to practice and refine your landscape skills and learn from the best, this workshop offers a unique opportunity not to be had elsewhere. You won't be disappointed!
